Nigeria arrived in Russia on Monday night, resplendent in green and white ensembles complete with hats and shoes, to win the another fashion contest at the World Cup after their jerseys proved a hit.

The Nigeria travel outfit, made by a local designer, not only taps into the country’s traditional culture but also gives a nod to the team’s football identity, with embroidered Eagle wings and a football on the chest and collar.

The outfits have been a hit on social media and follows on the heels of a globally popular World Cup kit designed by Nike, which sold out within minutes.

Many fans on social media have already handed the Super Eagles a win in the World Cup fashion stakes.

Nigeria’s John Obi Mikel speaks to the media upon the team’s arrival at Mineralnye Vody International Airport on June 11, 2018, ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup football tournament.
